Something that should have existed but didn't

At the end of 2014, I worked with coder Rachel Binx and the planning consultancy Raimi + Associates. The project connects over 100 statistics aggregates them to a neighborhood level. Allowing users to get a snapshot of health outcomes and disparities across the city. The site utilizes a consistent differential color scheme that codes every state by how divergent it is from the city average - thus guiding the user to those outcomes that are particularly noteworthy. I am often surprised when I am asked to make a simple data portal site like this one. Shouldn't this have been done a long time ago? And yet, invariable, it hasn't! I developed the code with Rachel Binx. The overall site design was produced with Roman Jaster.

The Atlantic covered the project as "the neighborhood data portal every city needs".
